Inside storage, including haul/launch mast stepping and mast storage (in the same building) is running me $2000. I had my previous boat hauled to my house, which was great but the new boat is a bit too big for the space I have and the ground is soft especially in the spring. Dinghy dock and a mooring runs me $500 in Castine.
The boatyard is very liberal, read not fancy, they allow DIY on everything. In fact a friend of mine has a marine service business and he will be helping me with some engine work this winter/spring and they are okay with that too. They have three sheds, none of them heated, though the one I'm in has the office in one corner so there is a bit of heat. Even in these cold temps a plastic water jug I have aboard has been liquid every time I have been to the boat.
People are working on their boats but tented if sanding and no bottom grinding/sanding unless tented.
Best part is that the yard is 15 minutes from my house.
