She's actually 61 feet on deck . . .

She was built in the early 1970s to fit inside whatever USCG rule applies to passenger vessels under 65 feet. The "tall ships" outfits like to use the sparred length as it's so much more impressive.
This really surprises me, as Newport Shipyard usually has several much bigger boats on the hard. You'd think the Providence would have been easy.
