Oh Man Chris ...

… you're killing me. We've had a few "only ones there at Conception" in that exact same spot. Is the shark still there ? One time, there was a strong storm predicted that was going to last, but all from the East. We stayed, everyone else bolted for GT. We had the Island to ourselves for over a week, it was blowing 20-30 from the east for a week and we were just fine. Tucked in that beautiful spot. That was before the Island officially became a "Park" so we could fish. We'd walk around the island on that north trail to the beach on the far east side, it was great. You can actually walk around the entire island. We started to run out of water and then a mega pulled in, we pulled up to her and filled the tanks so we cold stay a longer.

Sorry to hear about Bobby's place at Rum, what a bummer, it's been a tough go for him. But I bet he still manages to have some of those killer fish feasts he used to have. If you see his son Jarrett hanging around … 16 year old kid with platinum curly blond hair & tanned, please tell him John, Anne & Colby send our best and we'll see him soon ! Ask him to take you surfing, he's quite good at that and will know where to go. He's a good kid.

I've been meaning to ask you … what's your draft ? I think over 6' ? Have you been inside at Dollar Harbour on the back side of Long Island ? I think you'd like it in there, it's stunning. You can actually dinghy from there to Salt Pond or to Max's Conch Bar through the mangroves pretty easily. You probably need close to high tide to get in & out. It realy is one of our favorite places, you probably won't see anyone else in there, pretty much total all around protection because of the shoaling, doesn't look like great protection in a Front, but it is. It can be howling in there and the water will be flat.

Cheers, John
