The snow is not so much of a problem but the cold is challenging. Your home becomes extra important this time of year. I deal with a few and stuff like that keeps me quite busy in this extreme cold.
Amazingly we've not been able to use the snow to our advantage. Our local town owned ski area installed a new(used) triple chair this year. But it's only been open a couple of weeks and we've used it once, for one run!
Mary Ann and I found out we were quite rusty on the snowboards this year.
We got off on the wrong side and due to a race, had to go down the toughest trail on the mountain. To add to the thrill, I had a loose binding that was twisting 30 degrees,...satisfiied to make it down in one piece, we called it a day after one run.
As you get older, you have to work slowly into acivities like snowboarding. I told her not to worry, we can always go back to skis when we're too old to snowboard. And living our winters, I can't imagine an age that is too old to sail.
