That was at 6:30 am after I brewed coffee. Now, a half hour later, it's -22F. Dead calm so it doesn't feel that cold. The proverbial lull before the storm. Good thing it will warm up with the snow, the wind chills to come in the forecast wind would be fatal in this cold.

This weather is a big test for heat pumps. The one at my house is cranking outside! The inside outflow is 76F. Still working,... How these things manage to pull any heat out of that -22F air, is beyond me.
