Fitting in thread about recycling, might be the mention of "Environmentally-Friendly Megayachts"...

Hi Nat,

On that gCaptain page, there's a link to a YouTube shot from a drone, showing the movement of Feadship's most recent build, the 274-footer SAVANNAH thu the canals in the town near the Feadship yard... gives a good sense of the scale of these yachts today:

"The yacht, named Savannah, was transported Thursday from Feadship’s Royal De Vries Aalsmeer shipyard to Rotterdam. The superyacht is the first to feature a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system, making it one of the most environmentally-friendly superyachts in the world."

Regarding ship-breaking, there are some incredible videos out there... I've probably linked to this one before, but it's the best I've seen... 60 MINUTES also did a very good story on shipbreaking a few years ago, for anyone who might be interested...
