A Bill of Sale just acknowleges a transfers of title
In Response To: If you REALLy want it simple ()

the contract of sale set the terms, limits liability for hidden or other defects and possible oral representations and importantly is signed by the purchaser whereas a Bill of Sale is not. A Bill of Sale can also be a Contract of Sale, in other words one document, but these things need to be crafted to protect the parties rights and limit liability, not just act as a turn over of title.
