Some research said start with fine grits of finishing paper(1200+). But there were also some warnings of overdoing it, losing the outer UV layer, etc. I might try it in a few years as it can be done int place(at least on the outside surface).

But this is good enough. It was the outer haze that really makes it look old. I wonder if now that will haze up more quickly?
