I always thought that a Chines Gybe was a gybe in which the mainsail ended up twisted with the wind on one side at the top and the other side at the bottom. Especially bad on a gaff rig and the booms are on opposite gybes. That video looks dramatic, but it is a very controlled crash gybe, and the main gybes completely - just can't be eased because the guy on the runners was too slow .
I would really like to sail on one of those boats - for about an hour. After that is would just be uncomfortable and tedious for me.
