When I was in high school she was likely in her late 50's. She had wiry red hair with grey roots just showing much of the time. I ofter wonder what happened to the paint that she had in her basement.

When she learned that her favorite, very high copper content, bottom paint was no longer going to be sold she bought all that she could find. Same with the red lead paint that she used in the bilge. I will guess that she had ~ 25 gallons of paint in her basement in the early '70s.
