One was closer to 12.5. That Duralast group 27 was only 4 years old. The other slightly weaker Duralast 27(showed around 12.4) was 6 years old. Maybe the older one, shortened the life of the newer one? Then again, maybe the newer one, enable the older one to go another season? I keep them on BOTH charging and discharging.
After years, I have a gut feeling about marine deep cycle batteries. I'm happy to get 5 years out of one, or the average of two. Most of all, I don't want to run out of juice if we're on the hook for a few days.
I don't know if brand matters. Duralast 110 amp hr are just over a 100.
