Been going there since the late '50s - the present wineries on the N fork were all potato and cucumber fields back then. The old bowling alley is gone - along with the pin boys (now a package store). Used to be across the street from the movie theater - also gone. About the only constants seem to be Preston's, Claudio's, and the Coronet diner - Mitchell's is gone. Oh yeah, Rhumb Line is still there.
I used to work at a summer camp in Peconic on Great Pond - camp is now gone, now a state something?? Went back to the camp for a visit, and was surprised how much smaller it seemed (compared to what I remembered).
