Damned spoilsports! But there's almost no aphorisms nor older acronyms that someone hasn't.....

.....challenged or misunderstood. I saw one that was reported in a book to be "happier than a clam dug at high tide". It should have been "happy as a clam at high tide" when the feed is there and it's easy pickings. I can't imagine a clam dug up at high tide to be happy but this was a book about sayings and so totally wrong I never read the rest of the book.... Everyone's a critic, eh?
