... in the very bottom of the where the tube meets the plate base. I think my Stanchion bases are cast. I had the wholes drilled out at a machine shop. The holes are positioned outboard and are at the lowest point, so hopefully most if not all water will drain out. The hole above the drain hole is where the stanchion is through-bolted to the Base. Will keep my bedding material (butyl tape) away from the drain hole, and I should be able to keep the holes cleaned with a pipe cleaner from time to time. Thanks again, cheers, John
