On that crimper you may have the terminal backwards. Unfortunately there is no industry standard as to where the dots are. The larger crimp nest is for strain relief the smaller crimp nest is for the actual crimp. Make sure you are inserting it correctly. Many tools like yours can also be slightly calibrated. Also keep in mind that manufacturer to manufacturer terminals change. Find one brand, that works with your tool, and stick with it....
