Sounds like I will be doing a lot of pulling and jiggling wires

In an attempt to find the culprit.
Interestingly, it happens when we first turn the autopilot on after a peaceful night. Never when we are underway and bouncing.
As they said at the end of that great Jack Nicholson movie "It's Chinatown (or in our terms, It's a boat)."
I find that expression to be of great help whenever things go wrong and there is nothing to be done about it.
