Jon, Tom, several old salts told me to try the pot preventer like yours and I'm glad I did. I think the next time I go down east or to Nova Scotia I will just go offshore to avoid as many pots as i can. Even way outside Petit Manan there are quite a few. I think this year when I head south I'll just go off shore to P town to avoid all the pots I can. I expect to be splashed in a week or so now that the repairs from the other guys poorly moored boat are fixed and the Awl grip goes on soon. They used a template from fixing Chris's Crealock 40 to fix the toe rail on my 34. I owe him a bottle of rum for that.
