I was reading (with great interest) a thread dealing with furling mainsail issues on the Hunter Owner's forum yesterday. While your explanation of the straight mast makes perfect sense to me and was explained pretty straight forward by you, the discussion these guys were having was crazy complicated. They are trying all sorts of things to get their main sails to furl properly, working with angles of the boom from square and plumb, wind direction, leech line tension, rigid vang tension, halyard tension, sheet tension, topping lift tension and so forth.
Regarding the other issues we are having, the Admiral and I agree that the boat was misrepresented by the previous owner but we are working through things. This weekend I get to rebuild the leaking head.
