Tom, many of the older Catalinas and O'Days used a butyl rubber gasket material that eventually gets hard and leaks (or turns to rubber crumbs). I have replaced the plexi before, I had replacement tinted Lexan cut to size at a local supplier that I was told about by our UPS guy and used 3M4200 or Boat Seal instead of the rubber.
