My V-drive is slightly out of alignment (the gap on one side is about .007" wider than the other side; top and bottom are pretty close). The engine mounts can be shifted slightly for adjustment (an arc across one of the bolts that the mount swings around).
I could loosen the mounting bolts, then lightly tap the mounts one at a time to try to move them over. Or use a 2x4 as a lever to shift the engine (though that seems like using brute force to make a fine adjustment).
Or do I need to figure out a way to take the weight off the mounts, then make the adjustment?
I'm sure I can figure it out, but wondered how other folks have done this.
