No, thanks, and with all due respect, I can't think of a single reason to pull the A4, other than a getting bit more gph from a diesel. As it is I average about 3/4 gallon an hour at 5.5 knots.

The A4 is a perfect engine for a 29 foot 7,000 lb sailboat that only runs about 30 hours a year. It is a very quiet, simple, dependable motor which after ten years I have some knowledge of. It starts quickly every time without the choke, I only need one fuel filter, never have algae issues, and will never need to bleed the fuel lines. I have electronic ignition, an upgraded alternator and water pump, a new manifold, and a rebuilt starter. When my 43 year old raw water cooled motor needs replacing I will buy a new A4 block (cast by the Amish) for $4500 from Moyer Marine and install that in my boat.
