Good input. I've felt similarly based on past threads here and elsewhere. I'm currently waiting on information from Dave Calvert (Calvert Sails). Current thinking is a load-path sail but I'm not sure what they look like until I see some samples. Apparently, mildew resistance is improved in some newer variations. Interestingly, he feels that Hydranet (which I was open to) isn't quite holding up to expectations over time. I'm still going for a square-top main despite potential batten / stowage issues since I can easily access the sail from my hardtop. (mostly becasue I think a squaretop looks cool....yup, I know, easily influenced by the latest fads)
