I took the boat 25nm to its winter storage spot today, had a beautiful broad reach with 5-15+ knots of apparent wind and boat speeds between 4 and 12k. Yes quite a spread but it was mostly above 8k and a glorious way to end the season. Cold too, when we departed this AM it was 36 degrees and we never got out of the mid forties... even saw a few wet flurries but nothing stuck.
Here's the data point: I removed the genoa to find that the UV cover is shot, and separating. The tapes need a few repairs and the Mylar is staring to show its age, but it's clearly holding up better than the Dacron trim and the Dacron thread that holds it on.
Will take it in for repairs.
