Ahhh, back in the day we had 2-strokes on a couple of our boats. Now, I would guess your biggest issue will be the fuel because of the ethanol. I would also set the motor up to run in a 55 gallon drum with fresh water to flush your system while doing the following. Anyhow, stabilizer in the fuel tank, run it enough to get it all through your system. Fogging oil, shoot that into the carb for a few seconds while the engine is running, that should almost kill your motor, if it doesn't shut it off quickly. Doing that coats the reed valves. Pull the plugs and shoot fogging oil into the cylinders, spin it over by hand to coat the cylinder walls. I would also drain and refill the gear oil, we used full synthetic. Pull the prop, check for any fishing line on the shaft, inspect the shaft seal. A little marine trailer bearing grease on the shaft to make the prop easy to remove next time. I also used to wipe everything down and spray under the engine cover with WD40 to give it a good coat for storage. We stored the motors inside in my workshop for the winter.
