My most recent accomplishment in wood is a cardboard box. By that I mean a wooden box in which I store flattened cardboard that's eventually headed to the recycle station. (Now, the cardboard doesn't slither all over the floor of the shed and it's one trip to the car with it.)
I used ply-backed wainscoting left over from when we had the mudroom rebuilt. After I made it, I realized I cut the wrong piece. I could have sheathed the barrier/wall I framed to keep us from falling into the basement stairwell with leftovers. Now I have to go buy a sheet . . . think ahead!
