Land bound at the moment.

Hi Tom,
We've been land bound for about 3 years now but "God willin' and the creak don't rise", we'll be doing another multi-year cruise in a few years.

So far, we've done two 2-year cruises.

The first in Tricia Jean, a Tayana 37, where after spending a season in Baja, we wandered down the coast as far as Ecuador and hung a right for the Galapagos, then across the puddle to Polynesia and made it as far as Tonga before doing that long upwind slog back home via Hawaii.

The 2nd in Loose Pointer (our current boat), a Kelly-Peterson 44, where after the obligatory season in Baha, we headed directly across the puddle. That time, we made it all the way to New Zealand before turning around.

I'm not sure where well go next time (after Baja, of course). On the one hand, there are a lot of places I'd enjoy seeing again. Then again, heading on a more or less direct course to Fiji (with stops in Hawaii and the Kirabati's) and basically picking up where we left off last time is also appealing.

In the end, we follow the Latitude 38 motto - "We go where the wind blows."

Regards,
Dan
