In contrast to Larry, I have had good luck with my solar vents.
My solar vent has worked well...
Optimally, my fave positions are one central in main cabin, one aft in Lazarette area, one forward.

I've had a Nicro Fico Day/Night solar vent running on Tehani for near 8 years now. Just keeps going
