I would drop it in for a test fit. Not talking much time for a test fit. I imagine your minimum time for a crane hire is an hour. Then if it fit, raise it, slather with epoxy and lower again. In the worst case you may have to hire the crane twice if the test fit requires reworking. Well worth the cost in my opinion.
