Our boat has a halyard lead. 
In Response To: Does it matter what shackle I use for a jib halyard? ()
This Schaefer lead sits below the jib halyard block and increases the angle to the furler swivel. Click the link below. It only deflects the halyard a few degrees. Seems to work fine.
