First sail of the year on Sunday

Two weekends ago we had snow, last week end we had rain and temps in the 50's, this past weekend we set a new record high temp. of 90* (??) Looks like we went from winter to summer in two weeks.

I re-tuned the rig to the addendum specs and found that a furling main sail really does unfurl and furl as advertised. I wonder how long it has been like that? We went out Sunday just as a test drive, winds were light and fluky, only managed to hit 2knots. It was 87* and the mayfly hatch was in full bloom so we bobbed around with about 500 little buddies attached to the boat, the sails, our t-shirts and everything else.

I have to say that this little Hunter behaves very well. It is the first sailboat we ever had that actually backs up straight and is very responsive to the wheel. It also tacks nicely under sail even at painfully slow speeds. I take back some of the mean things I said.

Next weekend we are supposed to be part of a commercial being shot for a new hotel on the bayfront, we are the graceful and relaxing sailboat gliding past as the guests sit out on their waterfront patios.
