I only shudder to think the noise that would make when it "locked-up" with your prop and shaft ;^))))

If you can't pull-up a fouled anchor a polyester line, you really would have a problem that needs another solution.

Some people have suggested that you loop a line over the anchor rode and pull it forward until it gets to the anchor past the shank, then pull up from there.

There are some devices that I've seen in mags or on the web that do that with a ring or something similar.
