Nothing!
In Response To: getting ready for Saturday ()

The Weather Channel, Accuweather, MSN Weather, the local TV people................all week and right up to Friday, Friday night. Severe thunderstorms, heavy rain, hail, high winds, dangerous lightning, downed trees, power outages...........we went down Friday, added dock lines, double checked all the canvas and got ready. The first round was supposed to come through just before dawn, the really nasty stuff was supposed to arrive around 11am.

Saturday morning it was cloudy and breezy but it never rained. The 8am forecast was changed to a 20% chance of showers, everything else was cancelled. By noon the sky was clear and blue, winds were about 20 from the West. After all that, a week of warnings and suggestions to cancel outings and events, nothing. Not a drop of rain, not one hailstone or a clap of thunder, the trees are all standing and the lights never flickered.

I was monitoring the near shore buoy yesterday (see link), for those not familiar with Lake Erie, the winds were from north east, steady at 21mph, gusting to 30. Waves were 5-7'...........with a wave period of 4.73 seconds. How's that for square waves?
