So you could zip Downeast and back without as much potential delay that we know can happen with a sailboat. Still, you probably look for similar weather for passages.
Things on the water are quiet around here after Labor Day, and the same is true down south(in our experience) to a slightly lesser effect. But nearly everything is still open, the boats have thinned out and the weather should be mostly beautiful from Downeast to the mid Atlantic regions. September is a great month to be on the water in New England, and so is (at least most) of October.
