Our Beta 60 is on Beta's standard mounts (they say the most flexible ones)
Shaft is supported at the outboard end by a cutlass bearing and inboard by the engine.
The shaft is 3 ft 9" long, with a PSS seal which of course gives no support
Coupling is a 5" diameter Drivesaver 404V ( https://www.gcsmarine.com/content/drivesavers/drivesavers )
I aligned within the generally recommended 0.001"/inch diameter, but wonder how useful and important this is with a flexibly mounted engine that will be in a slightly different location when under load.
How close should the alignment at the coupling be?
Any advice on how best to align this engine?
