Isn't it a real disappointment to pull down sails when the weather is so nice....

I stripped my sails off about two weeks ago in anticipation of "the storm of the century" here... It was a warm beautiful day when I took those sails off. It was all I could do to not just hoist sail and set off.

The storm hit, but veered off at the last minute, and essentially skipped past my home and right past my marina. We were all stocked up and hunkered down and ready... not a D battery to be found locally...

There was local damage from the storm, but the winds never hit here with the forecast intensity of 70+MPH. A little meme went around the area after the storm...
