These guys have been busy. They recently, like a couple of months ago, took over/purchased Perry's Landing Marina here. The rumor was that they were going to take over Perry's which we know for sure happened, take over Lampe Marina which might have happened, then buy Bay Harbor Marina East and West which has been for sale. This would monopolize all the public docking in our area except for the marina on Presque Isle State Park.

I was talking last week with a friend who has a powerboat at Perry's. She said they received a letter of introduction from Safe Harbor saying they are reviewing the facility AND by the way, there will be a 7% increase in fees for each of the next four years. Perry's was already the most expensive public marina in the area although they have been working to upgrade the place.

The people at Bay Harbor East and West were also told of a fee increase for next season. The phone at our club has been going crazy as we were the cheapest place with the nicest facility but now we are REALLY the cheapest place with the nicest facilities.
