It'll clean out at least 90% of the buildup anyway. Then rinse out the system very thoroughly and commence to using the preventive cupful of white vinegar once a week.

A 12 solution is what Raritan recommends for cleaning the electrode pack in the LectraSan/Electro Scan...and they also approve the use of white vinegar.
