Hi! I'm sure this question has been asked many times, but what does anyone use other than elbow grease to use a polishing compound on the deck of a boat that's been sitting in the tropics for 6 months? The marina was supposed to put a coat of wax on it for us, but they changed their policies & no longer provide this hourly service ... as a result, we have white chalky deck -- not horrid, but definitely not shiny. It appears the weather is not going to cooperate to let us leave tomorrow (something about a possible LO developing over Providencia later this week, which is exactly where we'd be headed first) ... so we have some extra time to do some non-essential projects.
The sportsfishing boat next to us says we need to use polishing compound & then wax to bring it back. But I'd really rather go to the hardware store & get something to help -- I did a small section already & it's going to take all winter by hand. Is there something that connects to a dremel or a drill that will help without being so intense that I might grind through the gelcoat? Let me know your favorites. Thx! Jan
