I have rope pattern nonskid on the decks

With oxidation starting deep in the grooves. What is going to happen if I try to shine and wax it?

I love the warm tropical sun, especially at this time of year, but I don't like what it does to my boats. The best protection is shade, so I did this:

- Don't even think about Poliglo on a deck...
- Why care about oxidation in non-skid?
- Because the oxidation will eventually cause 'micro-cracks' ... and thats the end of the non-skid.
