I tend to agree with Steve P.,...if you think military action is the best solution, go ahead and knock yourselves out. You've done such a great job in Iraq and Afganistan, not to mention Vietnam whose people remain forever grateful for the continued high rate of cancers and birth defects from that very simple Agent Orange solution.

Aside from piracy on a local level being a tradition in that part of the world, the fact that Western and Asian factory ships have depleted local fishing grounds in the last fifteen years doesn't really help in dissuading ex-fishermen from taking up the trade, either. Add to this the callapse of agriculture due to sustained drought probably because of climate change and a political vacum for the last twenty years since the national government callapsed and which is now filled with warlords taking a cut from the piracy and it all of a sudden becomes just a tad more complex than either of you fox news simpletons ever imagined.

If either of you think you have a simple solution to what is essentially a failed state run amok, you guys are much brighter than me. Quite frankly, I'm a bit surprised nuking that corner of Africa and getting it over with hasn't yet been proposed...grin. Where's Rumsfeld and Cheney when you need them...LOL
