About a month ago, I attempted to use the ATM at another local bank I would normally never go to. I just happened to be there when the need for cash arose. I used my card, punched in my code and, woooosh, my card was gone and the display told me there is a problem and to contact my bank. This was after ONE attempt of entering my code. Normally, you would see a "sorry, try again message" but not at this bank. When I went to see a customer service person, I was told to my face, that when this happens, there is usually a problem with the account. Sorry, we cannot return your card. Go and see your bank. It is a good thing that I did not voice my thoughts at that moment because it would have gotten me arrested. Outside, I called my regular branch and asked the manager to intervene on my behalf, so that my card would be returned. He could do nothing for me. After complaining loudly, he arranged to have a replacement card FedEx'd to me at my office. Luckily, my barber was kind enough to give me a haircut on my good word because I did not have enough cash on me. Well, this little story does not help you any but it goes to show, that banks are super sensitive these days. They rather pee you off because one person means absolutely nothing in their overall scheme of things, than try to use their brains and apply common sense. This is something you find almost everywhere these days and it sucks.
