I guess I'm just not a rafting kind of guy. I like the solitude that comes with anchoring untethered to another boat and I don't like the idea of lying to another boat's ground tackle or vice versa. (I still recall the madness that occurred once in Katama Bay when an unanticipated squall came up in the middle of the night. It was crazy - there were 3 boats rafted together and two had to disengage in winds gusting at least 30 knots in a very crowded anchorage.). Plus, there's always an opprtunity for scratches and miss-haps when we boats cuddle together.
