I don't think we have the heater strip. I'm not aware of it and I know there is no power there for it. Wouldn't it need some sort of power?

Ours was a ground (cabin sole) up complete rebuild. Took a saws-all to the old galley and started from scratch.

Biggest mistake...glass electric cooktop. Before cruising we hardly cooked on the boat other than BBQ. But during the rainy season in Central America BBQ outside can be a problem many days so we cooked inside more often. Our cooktop did not have any gadgets to hold the pans in place so in a rolly anchorage or while underway I had to hold the pan the whole time. Dumb.
