Thanks Dan. Good info. So let me ask. I am a Florida resident (per the IRS), living in PA but I have relatives in Delaware. If I purchase a boat in Florida, I tell them not to include the sales tax and then remove it from Florida within the time period right? Should I change my residency from Florida first though to another state, say Delaware? And then let's say I want to keep the boat in a marina in MD? I know sounds crazy but I just HATE taxes and if I can save $9000 I will do almost anything. I wonder if it makes a difference if I finance the boat?
