Hi Jon,

In this case at least, I think it was a good choice to match up the boom apperance with the rest of the boat. She is beautiful. Much more so than my pedestrian photography shows. Unlike the Tartan 34 you mentioned, I don't think the cost of the booms is critical to the overall cost of the project.

The booms are pretty nifty tho'. The below pic gives a bit better look at them.

A little pizazz does the old girl some good. Kind of like spandex running tights on a Bellevue Avenue Dowager.
