Yeah, I remember them. $300.00 for a 1/2" scratch on their hull

The engine on the dingy hit their boat and put a small scratch i their new LP job under the curved area of the rear of the hull. We were discussing it and he started talking about his beautiful classic 'Swan' and his beautiful new paint job that now had a scratch ( crappy looking old boat with a new paint job if you ask me ). I offered to have it repaired and he came up with the fact that he needed to order a quart of paint from the states and have it shipped to him in Hualtuco and then hire someone to clean it up and put it on. I said that he must have kept a bit of paint when he had the job done for this very thing but he said he didn't and was insistent on ordering a quart from the states. I told him I thought that he was being a bit anal and he really should have kept a bit of his new paint for use later. That's when he got made at me and started calling and getting prices for he paint, came back over and handed me an invoice with a list of things and the prices that it will cost.

I gave him a check but he gave it back to me and cornered Reylyn when she was at the marina office. She gave him cash.

I remember thinking he was a pompous ass and not someone I'd consider a reasonable person.
