We have the same but I have two WHAM mics. One is out being used while the other is in the cradle being charged. But you're definitely correct. The charge doesn't seem to hold any longer then about 6 hours when new. Mine are about 2 years old now and the recycling them seems that they work ok. But then when I need them they're about out of charge and give me that damn beep, beep, etc.
