with no particular problems. Still need to route the GPS cable through the boat, but the rain here made me decide to wait a day to drill a hole and run it. VHF antenna was already there for the old SR161, so no problems there. Have a stern rail antenna spot and place for the GPS cable all picked out, just need to do it. West software lets you adjust just a few things on the AIS1000, and gives a table of all the ships it can see, and the CP180 chartplotter and PC Navigation programs like it fine. Rather large in comparison with others, plus heavier because of the aluminum case, but displays and controls easy to get to, and it is significantly cheapest. Already have the SR161 listed on eBay, so just need to finish the GPS tomorrow.
