Seriously Larry, $40 to shovel a driveway? I suspect that my driveway, at 250 feet, is a bit longer than ESB's. We don't pay nearly that much for it to be cleared following a storm.
In my line of work, I've dealt with more than a few storm emergencies. Before the storm is even over, the price gougers and scam artists come out of the woodwork, offering certain services for exhorbitant fees. If the price gouging isn't enough, some of those services are things that public works or the local power company are already going to do at no additional charge. Some of these scam artists have even told our customers that if they're willing to pay the enterprising person $XYZ to clear tree debris, that their power will be restored or their road will be plowed sooner.
Sorry Larry, I have little use for people who do this. Not all of them are trying for the "honest buck."
