Port Networks is a small company out of Baltimore that makes a powered marina wireless bridge which works great and will give you great range as well. the powered antenna is mounted in a pelican box and can be hoisted up a mast or placed on the bridge/cockpit. It plugs into your ethernet port so works well for both pc and mac. Settings are done via a browser link.

Down side is they are more expensive than a usb antenna and also need power (two power injector options 120 or 12v).
